Exciting updates for Disney Parks Announced at D23
There's plenty of magic on the horizon! This past weekend, Disney fans from around the world gathered in Anaheim for D23, Disney's ultimate fan convention, where some truly exciting announcements were unveiled.
Alongside major film news, including the highly anticipated Coco 2 and Frozen 3, Disney revealed a spectacular line-up of new attractions and experiences coming to its parks in 2027 and 2028.
Here are some of the highlights coming to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Paris!
Walt Disney World Resort, Florida
Magic Kingdom Park
Get ready to hit the open road, because Cars is coming to Frontierland in a spectacular national park inspired by the Rocky Mountains. Piston Peak will transport guests into a stunning mountain range fitted with geysers, waterfalls and winding rivers in the heart of Radiator Springs.Two brand-new attractions are set to bring the world of Cars to life. Car Ridge Run Rally will take guests on an exhilarating off-road adventure towards the snow-covered summit of Piston Peak alongside Lightning McQueen and Mater. Plus, Miss Fritter's Daredevil Spin-Along is the ultimate demolition derby experience hosted by the unforgettable school bus from Cars 3.
A Disney classic is also getting a major refresh. The Carousel of Progress will be updated, now starting in the 1960s and bringing us up to modern day. Adding an extra touch of Hollywood magic, the voices of Mum and Dad will be brought to life by acting legends Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston.
Finally, the Disney villains are finally getting a home of their own at The Villains Land! A mysterious dark-magic wishing well has attracted some of Disney's most notorious villains, who have established their lairs in this sinister new land. Guests can look forward to a Maleficent inspired coaster and a Mirror Realm dark ride.

EPCOT
One of EPCOT's most beloved characters is coming back into the spotlight.Journey into Imagination is set for a complete overhaul, with Figment playing a starring role in the newest version of the attraction.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park
The Tropical Americas in Animal Kingdom are set to grow with three exciting new experiences inspired by beloved Disney and Pixar stories. Firstly, Antonio;s Fiesta de Encanto will celebrate Antonio's gifting ceremonyand feature the voices of the original Encanto cast, including Stephanie Beatriz. Then, there's El Carrusel de los Animalitos, a carousel attraction featuring an incredible 22 Disney and Pixar animals. Lastly, Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent will take guests deep into the mysterious Mayan underworld for an action-packed archaeological adventure.
And for fans of one of Walt Disney World Resort's most iconic thrills, there's more good news.Expedition Everest is set to welcome back the original Yeti audio, bringing an extra dose of nostalgia to one of the resort's most thrilling attractions.

Disney's Hollywood Studios
Get ready to step into the world of Monsters, Inc. as Monstropolis is planned to open in 2027. The new land will feature the Glob Theatre, where guests can enjoy the Welcome to Monstropolis show with appearances from Mike and Sully. Archie's Scare Pig Pizza will offer a new dining option, while the Scareporium will be the perfect place to pick up some monstrous souvenirs.
Disneyland Paris
The magic doesn't stop in Florida; Disneyland Paris® also has lots of exciting news!
One of Disneyland® Paris' most iconic attractions is set to return to its original concept.Discoveryland's Star Wars™: Hyper Space Mountain will become Space Mountain once again, taking inspiration from Jules Verne's From the Earth to the Moon.

Meanwhile, the new The Lion King flume ride in Disney Adventure World will follow Simba's journey from cub to lion, bringing the incredible story of The Lion King to life with a water-based attraction.
There's also a change coming to the parade line-up at Disneyland® Park. The much-loved Disney® Stars on Parade is set to retire in 2028, making way for a brand-new parade.
